Hi, I’m Jessica Wurn.
OWNER/PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
As a Southern California native, I’ve been lucky enough to explore our beautiful landscapes while earning a Studio Art degree from UC Santa Barbara and a Masters in Teaching while in San Diego. My education, travels, and curiosity have taken me to the deserts, the mountains, Europe, and finally landed me along the beautiful beaches of Orange County. For nearly two decades, I’ve been teaching high school art in Costa Mesa, CA where I’ve loved helping my students unleash their creativity. It’s also taught me a lot about listening, organization, processes, and managing projects efficiently.
My interests in good design and home improvement naturally led me to interior design. I believe that elevating our living environment can enhance our quality of life. At Studio Jesso, I’m all about helping people find their unique style to create something unique and functional.
I view interior design almost as installation art and draw inspiration from nature, art history, set design, and architecture. My aesthetic leans toward eclectic, colorful designs that feel custom and inviting. While I enjoy keeping an eye on trends, I often find myself looking to the past for timeless ideas to mix and match in fresh ways.
